Robert Hill is a self-taught artist. Born July 3, 1952 in West Haven, CT. Rob took to art as soon as he was able to hold a crayon. Throughout his childhood, Rob developed an appreciation for his majestic surroundings. He would often sit in tress for hours with pastels and pad, or sit in a meadow with watercolor and canvas. Years of artistic expression made it clear that Rob's life would be centered upon his passion for artwork. After high school, Rob became very interested in woodcarving and ice sculpting. He found his calling with a single log of pine and a chainsaw. His hobby became a passion and a reality. Rob has been woodcarving since the mid-70's. His incredible patience and focus to detail is a trait that any artist would envy.

Rob is now a professional woodcarver and also works as an engineer. He currently resides in West Haven, CT with his wife Darlene.
